London-Paris: the match

Discovering London, you can notice several differences with Paris.

Of course, on the street, the cars  do not go in the same way than in France. It was very difficult at the beginning about it: despite you know this difference in the traffic, you automaticaly watch on your left before and then on your right... I remember that once I almost missed the bus because I was watching on my left whereas the bus was coming from the right.

Another thing that I felt strange: the invisibility of the trash cans on the streets. In fact, in Paris you can find it every 200 meters whereas in London it is a real treasure hunt. In spite of that fact, the streets are really cleaned when you compare to the Paris'. How paradoxical it is !

Concerning the behavior of the people, they seem more openminded and helpful. When you show that you are looking for a place, people stopin order to help you. Even if they don't know they try to help you, because the majority of the population in London is strengers. As a result, they don't know often the streets.

In London, there are a lot of parks, so many, that it seems that 40% of London is Green. In Paris, there is also parks but not being the half of the City.

The buses have two floors, which is not the case in France but inside, they seem nethertheless very narrow. At the contrary, the trains in the underground are very large. You can't calculate the door in which enry to go out precisely where you have to go out in the arival station.

That are my observations in London as a foreign person. Probably, there are more specificities you can notice. If something interesting or funny you observed and i did not mansioned, please writ it in commemts.
